Exercise
- Identify all big goals that will move you closer to your DFS. These should be written as SMART goals. List everything you can!
- Write down initiatives [Output Metric โ> Input Metric]. You can do a 1st draft, and then run an alignment exercise to involve your team. As an example:
Get Conversion Rate to 5% โ Ship 2 LPsย test per week
- Assign individual or department owners. Be specific to create accountability. Rock owners will be accountable for rock achievement.
- Goal owners should break down the activity needed.
- Goal owners should ICE Score each initiative to help prioritize which to act on and when.
- ๐ย Impact = The impact you expect your initiative to have on your goal. Higher is better.
- ๐ช๐ฝConfidence = The confidence you have in the initiative having its intended impact on your goal. Higher is better.
- ๐๐ฝEase = The effort/resourcing/spend you need to put behind the initiative to have the intended impact.
- Easy = 90% scoring, low investment
- Hard = 30% scoring, higher investment.
- Prioritize the right rocks for the right quarter.
