  1. Identify all big goals that will move you closer to your DFS. These should be written as SMART goals. List everything you can!
  2. Write down initiatives [Output Metric โ€”> Input Metric]. You can do a 1st draft, and then run an alignment exercise to involve your team. As an example: Get Conversion Rate to 5% โ†’ Ship 2 LPsย test per week
  3. Assign individual or department owners. Be specific to create accountability. Rock owners will be accountable for rock achievement.
  4. Goal owners should break down the activity needed.
  5. Goal owners should ICE Score each initiative to help prioritize which to act on and when.
    1. ๐Ÿ“ˆย Impact = The impact you expect your initiative to have on your goal. Higher is better.
    2. ๐Ÿ’ช๐ŸฝConfidence = The confidence you have in the initiative having its intended impact on your goal. Higher is better.
    3. ๐Ÿƒ๐ŸฝEase = The effort/resourcing/spend you need to put behind the initiative to have the intended impact.
      1. Easy = 90% scoring, low investment
      2. Hard = 30% scoring, higher investment.
  6. Prioritize the right rocks for the right quarter.
